Tracy and Colin's Wedding - 7/8/9

It was glorious weather for Tracy and Colin's wedding at the lovely Duck Bay Marina. I've often thought the Duck Bay doesn't look much from the outside and I had never been in it, but what a surprise. It is a gorgeous hotel venue - Tracy had told me that as soon as Colin and her peeked in the window one day, she knew that would be the place for her wedding. And I could see why. Having a whole day of sunshine meant that we could sit outside all day on the deck as well. It was a beautiful wedding, Tracy looked gorgeous, Colin's speech was perfect and the food was delicious. Melon, lentil soup, roast beef and yorkshire pudding, cranachan and coffeee - yum!
Here are a couple of videos, one explaining why it's called Duck Bay and one of the first dance.
As it was out Balloch way, we got the train up and back. Saved ourselves £35 in a taxi each way! Each way! Train from Charing Cross too. Very handy.
PS. We googled the church and it advised us that it was in Bowling. So we got the train to Bowling. No sign of the church....we asked two guys - one in a car, one chatting to him - and they advised that we would have to get a bus back to Old Kilpatrick. How frustrating. Then the driver of the car, Bill, offered to take us along in his car. It was SO nice. A true favour. We were indebted to Bill and although he won't ever read this, we offer him a big thank you!
